Look at this for a blast from the past.
This week one of our customers dropped this into our Nick Scali Campbelltown store, we thought we’d share it with you.
You might not have known but once upon a time Nick Scali was a Music promoter! In the 1960′s and 1970′s Nick Scali would bring out Italian pop artists and promote them to Australia. At the time, the Italian community was still fairly new in Australia and did not have much access to their favourite music artists from back home. As a way of assisting the Italian community Nick Scali would often bring out these artists at great expense for very little gain.
Pictured here is a commemorative 45rpm (for those old enough to remember what a record is!) celebrating the visit of Italian artist Peppino di Capri. This would have been given away to fans at one of many promotional events that Nick Scali would have held.
Thanks Dennis for dropping this in to us. If anyone else out there has any old memorabilia we’d love for you to get in touch with us here!
